Willie was born in Shreveport, LA January 8, 1933
He was preceded in death by his Father, Willie Tasby, Sr., and mother, Leanna B. Tasby. He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard K. Tasby.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon Tasby and Leanna Tasby,
Son Lester Cooper,
Grand children Richard Tasby, Jr.; Matthew Tasby, Juanita Tasby, Malachi Tasby, Keisha Cooper Owens
Great Grand children: Ayanna, Imani, Gracie, Joy, Matthew Tasby, Jr., Mariah Owens
He is also survived by his loving god daughter,
